After earning bachelor's degrees in architecture and civil engineering from Lehigh University, Samuel went on to obtain his M. Arch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI_Arc) in 2004. He practiced in Los Angeles with Studio Works Architects before moving to India in 2006 to work with Studio Mumbai and co-founded Case Design in 2013 with his wife Erica Barclay. In addition to his experience in the design and construction of architectural projects, he has worked on furniture, interiors, and exhibitions. In 2021 he co-founded a furniture brand Casegoods with Saleem and Erica and in 2022 he co-founded Solarpunk Futures with Akshay Tandon.

Saleem graduated from the Academy of Architecture in Mumbai and then trained as an Industrial Designer (Furniture Design) at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris. He attended the Post Graduate Program in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art History at the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum. His furniture is in the permanent collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. He was a director at Playn, founding program director of Product Design at ISDI Parsons Mumbai, and head of design at Reliance Brands (Muji, etc.). Since August 2022, he has also been the Dean of the Faculty of Design, at CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

Erica has been an active member of the American School of Bombay since 2006, initially as a teacher and more recently as the Head of Admissions since 2017. She also lends her time on a volunteer basis to the strategic growth and development of Case Design and the Casegoods brand. Erica has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a published author and has been in the field of education and leadership for more than twenty years.

Mimo Shirazi joined Casegoods in April 2025 as Business Head and is responsible for the operational aspects of the organisation, business development and client relations.

With 2 decades of running Cole Paints Ltd. he gained in depth experience in running a contracting firm leading teams, managing timelines and suppliers. Cole Paints was a family run contracting company primarily focussing on industrial and off-shore projects with challenging working conditions. In 2015 he closed his company pursuing a different career path, more in line with his personal interests. He joined the architecture practice Studio Mumbai, run by Bijoy Jain as Head of Operations. Here he gained experience guiding projects across the world apart from those in India. He ran the operations of the firm and guided and team of in-house craftsmen for both architectural projects as well as furniture making. In 2020, after working for 5 years at the studio, he joined the team at Architecture BRIO as the Business Head in continuation of his journey in the architectural field and worked there till the end of 2023.

Abishai earned his Bachelor’s in Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, in 2024. A recipient of the CEPT Merit Scholarship for five consecutive years, he was also honoured with the Distinguished Student Award upon graduation. In 2023, he was part of a select cohort chosen for an international exchange program at Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, Portugal.

Having long followed the work of Case Design and Casegoods, Abishai joined the studio as an intern and later took on a full-time role in July 2024, contributing to both design and communications.
